Islamic Education at Al-Falah

At Al-Falah Islamic School, we are more concerned about the application of knowledge than
the amount of knowledge imparted to students.

An Early Start

* Our students learn the fundamentals of Islam from a young age.
Students are required to take an Islamic Studies class as early as pre-kindergarten.

* All core subjects are taught in relation to Islamic principles.
This enables students to make connections between Islamic values and the world around them.

Accredited Curriculum

* The Arabic/Quran and Islamic Studies curricula have been accredited by the Ministry of Education.
We offer these courses instead of music and drama courses taught in public schools.

Value of the Month

* Our “Value of the Month” encourages students to learn a lesson of Islamic Tarbiyah and to implement
it in their lives. Studies have shown that if you practice something for 30 days, it becomes a habit.

Comprehensive & Practical Approach

* Our Islamic Studies course covers a wide range of themes in the contemporary context, including Islamic morals
(Akhlaq & Adab), Ibadah (cleanliness, Salah, and other Fiqh topics), societal issues, Islamic history, and economics.

* In the Arabic/Quran course students learn Arabic as a language, the art of Quran recitation (Tajweed & Tilawah),
and they memorize a number of Surahs and Duas.

Natural Islamic Environment

* By praying Duhur daily in congregation and attending Friday Khutbas, our students implement concepts taught
in the classroom. They build bonds with people who share their beliefs and practices.

Presentation & Dawa Skills

* Emphasis on presentation and public skills in Islamic studies encourages a confident Islamic personality and inspires students to engage in Dawa and interfaith activities.

* We train and select outstanding Grade 8 boys to deliver effective Khutbahs (sermons) at the Al-Falah Islamic Centre.
